A very expensive 45 Minutes

So except you have been living under a rock, You know that Kim Kardashian rolled into Lagos last month...
Now a lot has been written and said in both local and international media about this visit...
Emphasis being on how much she was paid mostly, supposedly a staggering $500,000 and why she was here in the first place...
What does Kim do? She is not a Musician, a Presenter, this and that...She has no business being here...
Please permit me to add my one kobo to the Kim madness...
Kim Kardashian is a "Brand",I use this term loosely please...
What does she do for a living? She makes appearances among other things...and she gets paid a lot of money to make these appearances

So yes it was good she came because the buzz created was maddening enough to drag a lot of Lagos "elite" (Because average Nigerians do not pay N100,000 for shows) to the event...
I mean people flew in from out of town for this event...
All the noise helped to drive people to what has been reported to be the best show in Nigeria...a cirque de soleil type event!
Thumbs up to Darey...He knew had a great show planned but was in need of someone to up the ante...
Particularly because Maxwell had just showed up in town the day before...Maxwell, common now... that's like the holy grail of romance right there...who can compete with that?
So let us thank Kim for honoring the invite....and even better still let us be happy she didn't stay long to distract from the show...

But i have a problem, matter of fact two problems with Kim being in Lagos...
First up, I have a problem with a first time pregnant woman who claims she had fertility issues jeopardizing her cherished pregnancy for a brief 14 hours in a country that is minus layover 18 hours from LA...
In total 36 hours flight time, lets add 4 hours layover, so 40 hours...just to show up at a show for 45 mins...
Haba Kim, Fear God and have some respect for yourself girl! What!!!
I mean people are praying daily for this gift. That is just low...
what if she had a medical emergency while she was here?

More importantly, I have a problem with how she showed up to this event.
That outfit was just plain hilarious, bordering on stupid!
If she could bother to fly half way around the world for 45 mins, why not make it a 45 mins nobody forgets?
Pull the glam out...that is what made her popular, not even the sex tape, the fashion!
Kim is papped daily in LA looking like she is off to the White House for lunch while she is just grabbing a coffee...
Heels, fabulous hair, gorgeous clothes, a full mask of make up...
And then she shows up in Lagos looking like "Nkemji's" Armenian cousin...(if you do not know who Nkemji is...your loss)and that leather(Lagos is currently suffering an unbelievable heat wave)...
Her hair was a flat mess, make up was a wash out, in a nutshell Kim Kardashian made no effort.
She could not be bothered to prepare to be here.
Goggle is everyone's best friend. check the weather, Pack accordingly, find out what the best meals to had are, read up about Darey and Lagos...be prepared!
Except these simple things may be beyond her IQ...
When asked about songs from Darey's albums she liked, she answered like a bimbo, Have u tried any Nigerian food, Zilch...
If she had done her homework, she would have known that Nigerian women do not play with fashion...they know their Gucci from their Louis...Christian louboutin is their friend. They would rather be overdressed than under dressed!
Please none of that lax American fashion for showing up to a concert... bring the bottom box out!
When i saw the red carpet fashion from the event i had a good laugh...
Kim paled in comparison to our naija sisters! They educated her...
We may be in Africa but trust me we are not wearing monkey fashion!
I mean someone even had on a faux fur wrap...hahahaha!

Well it may be safe to say Kim will not be asked back anytime soon because she was such a disappointment...a very expensive one!
Kudos to Darey for the great event...
I will leave this post with a quote from the UK Guardian's Jeremy Weate on Kim's brisk visit...
