I strolled into work late this morning...Make up free too...
I had a harrowing night yesterday, Spent two good hours in traffic from Victoria Island to Lekki...
It was Horrific...
As i sat in traffic, engine running, fuel burning a myriad of thoughts and emotions went through my mind...
What quality of life is this? How can one be productive when everything is so damn stressful!
I saw mothers with little children they had probably picked up from after school classes...
Wives, Husbands, everyone collectively dejected...and as usual this traffic was unexplained...
No accidents, no reason to be stuck for that long...
I spent a lot of money on the gym and Zumba classes when i lived in Abuja to keep trim, moved back to Lagos and after fighting my way out of the crazy traffic daily, BAM!! Toned biceps and a slimmer frame...
Drove straight into the fuel station when i hit the expressway and there was a queue again, of course there will be queue, with the amount of fuel burnt up sitting in the traffic...
Finally got home around 10 pm, headed straight to the fridge, pulled out the bottle of wine...this was not a night I wanted to take my chances with sleep, i wanted to pass out (Sleep and I are not very good friends)
Alarm turned off and that was it...
So yes, i was late...but i got some good sleep in..
The good thing about working with "oyinbo" bosses, you mumble the word traffic and they nod in understanding...
They are not like your naija bosses who look at you like they are "doing" you from your village when you come in late...hiss
On to other things, thanks everyone for not just reading, the feedback has been very positive...
Where do i get the posts from...I write everything you read here...
How does someone begin a blog...if you have a Gmail account then you are good to go, www.blogger.com, sign in, create a blog, happy blogging...there are other blog sites but i use blogger.com...
You should look at adverts placements and all...I do not plan to monetize the blog any time soon.
What is the plan for the blog going forward...There is no plan, i enjoy writing, you enjoy reading...we are cool like that...
Please keep the feedback coming in...as you can see i am experimenting with pictures but haven't figured out how to align them well yet..hehe
