Morning Musings

Today is beginning on a happy note...
I say a daily prayer each morning before i leave home...
I particularly pray saying "Lord God, Please drive me safely to work, let there be no incidents and accidents'...
Because driving in a Lagos is akin to participating in Formula 1 races...very dangerous...
We have no speed limits and everyone is always in a hurry...
Then people crossing the express roads...*shudders*...
Honestly i have my heart in my mouth most days...
I mean people are driving at over 100km/hr and someone just runs across the road...
What are you? Wind?...
I cannot wrap my head around it...It churns my stomach everyday...
But today i saw something that made me smile...
So everyone is racing to work in their usual hurried fashion and there in the middle of the road, this guy in army fatigues standing like Superman, arms outstretched stopping everyone so his colleague could help young children going to school cross to the other side...
Surely that could melt even the most hardened hearts...
Shout out to those army guys! They rock...
Police?...not so much...
Do not be deceived by their motto..."Police is not your friend"...
